Science
This week we will be reviewing Unit 2- Plant and Animal Classification. You will be completing two science assignments. One on plant classification (due today) and one on animal classification (due by Friday)
For plant classification, please watch Mrs. Knobbe’s science lab video, and complete the science lab form alongside the video. You will need to sign in using your O365(Microsoft account) to complete this form. DUE TODAY
For animal classification, you will be creating a promotional flyer introducing a new zoo exhibit you will create. Please create a PowerPoint presentation to complete this project. If you want to use another program, please get it approved by Mrs. Barkley before starting.
Project requirements:
  1. 1. Give your exhibit a title that reflects what the new exhibit is about.
  1. 2. Include at least 1 animal from each of the 5 different classification groups (you can include more if you would like).
  1. 3. Talk about the different animals you would showcase in few sentences.
  1. 4. Include a picture of each animal
For example, if I wanted to create a black and white exhibit, I could name it Polka dots, and have pandas, tiger fish, albino snakes, penguins, and marbled salamanders in the new exhibit. I would include information on my promotional flyer about each of these animals, including what classification they are in, a few sentences about each animal, and a picture of each animalPlease refer to the Unit 2 in your science journal to help you remember how animals are classified. You can use the Atlanta Zoo Animals page to help you get some ideas of some different animals in each classification group, but you are not limited to only using these animals.  Let me know if you have any questions and I can’t wait to see what you come up with! Make sure you share your PowerPoint flyer with Mrs. Barkley. This project is due by FRIDAY.
